Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp. Streamlined Global Financial Reporting

  • Challenge: Novartis Consumer Health’s financial executives wanted to Implement a streamlined global financial reporting process.
  • How: CLI interviewed team members, developed content, wrote copy, designed & programmed a self-learning e-tool, followed by five global webinars, in which we trained 150 CFO’s worldwide in three days.
  • Deliverables included: Self-learning video tool with printable reference materials, and facilitation of five global webinars.
  • Comments: The lead project team members followed up with trainees via e-mails and phones calls and found that the trainees had a complete understanding of the process change and the company’s updated financial reporting software tool.

Worldwide Packaging Process Training:

  • Challenge: Novartis Consumer Health, in Basel, Switzerland, wanted to implement common processes for packaging worldwide. Their challenge was how to accomplish such a complex standard global process with so many organizations, both internally and externally.
  • How: Reviewed multiple resource materials and developed content and copy, designed the user interface, graphics, video, animations with voice overs that was used for classroom training, and as a SCORM compatible self-learning tool.
  • Deliverables included: Self-learning video tool with useful, printable reference materials.
  • Comments: This global learning solution transcended language and cultural differences and continues to be an enjoyable learning experience worldwide.

Tracking Promotional Costs

  • Challenge: Marketing Department was implementing a new software modular for requesting promotional budgets & tracking promotional costs and needed to train the entire marketing team on the new procedure & software.
  • How: Through interviews and resource materials, designed and developed the training course, complete with course layout, copywriting, graphic development, voiceover and animation.
  • Deliverables included: Self-learning training piece, facilitation of one classroom training session.
  • Comments: At the conclusion of a classroom session, marketing trainees commented that this training experience was truly the best one they can recall.

  Prevacid Dashboard 

  • Challenge: Prevacidwas moving to over the counter. A web portal was developed for team members to track the overall brand health and contained useful documents and materials.
  • How: Designed and developed training piece to teach the team how to use the new portal, where they could find important information and how to best use this new tool. We developed the training course, wrote the copy, recorded green-screen video, designed supplemental graphics to provide the team with a self-learning tool to be used to train current team members and future members as well.
  • Deliverables included: Full-video, self-learning piece.

  Novartis Oncology 

  • Challenge: Novartis Oncology’s Business Enterprise Department wanted to break away from typically dry promotional means to communicate with employees.
  • How: Interviewed and met with team members to understand their programs and objectives. From there, we developed a communications plan including deliverables and tactics.
  • Deliverables included: Logo development, communications plan, copywriting, marketing and promotional materials, e-mail campaigns, direct mail, animations, training pieces, promotional events, program launch from start to finish.

 Comments: Novartis Oncology employees have reportedly loved the new, fresh communication materials, they find the new programs to be very helpful. We continue to provide advertising and marketing to this team.
